(On #photography) What am I doing wrong? Hints...

If you...

...neglect to shoot consistently

...ignore/disregard/misuse the basic functions of your gear

...forget to backup

...drool over gear you can't afford and don't know how to use

...deny your weaknesses

...reject learning new tools/software

...entertain some "purist" notion that Retouching is "bad" for photography

...label the use of Flash as insulting because you "only shoot natural light"

...refer to the genius of Ansel Adams/Cartier-Bresson/Karsh without having read or analyzed a single piece of their work

...convince yourself you have nothing to learn from your peers

...create for 'Like's instead creating work that's actually likeable

...spend more time sifting through blogs and listening to podcasts than you do curating your own website/blog

...avoid objective and beneficial criticism of your craft

...overlook the demands of the industry

...forget that successful photographers are skilled businesspeople first and foremost

...do not follow up on [potential] client leads

...charge less than you're worth

...miss deadlines

...do not interact with your audience

...fail to recognize that photography is about creative passion as well as technical prowess

No big mystery now, is there?
