Who said you can never have too much of a good thing?
Are you kidding - you ain't seen nothing yet!
Oh yes, dear friends! From the Northern borders of Candiac, QC to the sunny shores of Newport Beach, CA comes to you yet another episode of the DayLight Webcast.
Joined as always by my fellow compadre, 30+ year photography veteran, never too caffeinated, Google Glass Explorer and all-around awesome guy: David Esquire of Esquire Photography, we bring you our usual dose of good-humored, light-hearted and always useful knowledge and insight.
For this episode, we touch on the more pragmatic side of ensuring a efficient and satisfying client/provider relationship.
Talk is cheap - clients have expectations, you have a task to perfom. Contracts are the binding element that ensures everyone is on the same page.
We'll be covering a whole range of key points to consider, such as :
- Protect the client. Protect yourself. No exceptions
- E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G in writing
- Keep copies
- Leave nothing to chance
- Be understanding but firm
- Make sure the client understands
- Take the time to clarify
- Give a little
- You don't make the weather. (ie : certain things are totally beyond your control...don't make excuse)
- Plan C
- It's ok to walk away
... and then some
Different assignments, different clients, different contracts...it's your duty to ensure the same Awesome service.
