So my niece had a birthday party, see?
And her parents got the original idea of making the experience not just memorable but educational as well.
So, lo and behold, cue the surprisingly fun-filled services of Animation FestiZoo...
Don't wanna spoil the experience for you so take this as my own two cents - as it is indeed an honest one.
I'm a die-hard Animal Planet/Discovery Channel/National Geographic nut...so, as kid parties go, and as the parent of a young child myself - I have to say that I was pleasantly entertained and I did get to learn a few things.
Bus this isn't about me - it's about the skill and experience you need as a moderator to keep a room of little kids focused and amused long enough to laugh, be awed and play along with you - and that's one of the main things I got from Cricket, who obviously, had been around the block before, and then some, with how she took time and care in allowing the kids to ask questions, pet the animals and, you know, just be kids!
Sanitation and safety - for both the kids and the animals - remains paramount throughout the entire presentation and that was also a big plus in my book. You worry as a parent, but a good moderator knows that, and has the forethought to address that properly and courteously.
The animals were a lot of fun and the kids had a blast petting them and interacting with them - kids say the darndest things, let's leave it at that!
I would definitely call on Animation FestiZoo for another workshop like this one - I'm juts MAD about that iguana, aren't you ?
Thanks to Cricket and the team at Animation FestiZoo
*nb - oh, by the way : you gotta be a special kinda a cruel if you're into a fur coats...no, really. A Chinchilla(that little cute bunny-like critter, scroll down) is, so I leared, the softest animal on the planet - and that led to some SEIROUS poaching over the years. Do your part, speak up and end the massacre. Jus'sayin.
